The Sweet Art Gallery is thrilled to share images from our contributing artist Al Razza's exhibition of collective works at the Coral Springs Museum Of Art, Coral Springs, Florida. The exhibit ran from March 22 to May 19, 2018. Al Razza is an accomplished artist, teacher and innovator. Al is known for developing the paint skin process. His most important works showcase his technique for building up the surface of the canvas with paint skins. Razza's technique culminates in a richly patterned and corrugated work of swirls and robust colors. " I have been using paint skins in my artwork for nearly 20 years and believe I've discovered some unique ways to use them. My quest has been to separate what I do from what is conventionally accepted as painting', says Al Razza. After attending the Art Institute of Boston, the University of Rhode Island, Florida Atlantic University and Massachusetts College of Art, he then went on to get his Masters Degree at Pratt Institute in New York. While at Pratt Al Razza was awarded an assistantship and two fellowships. His work has been exhibited in museums, galleries and public and private collections. Join us at the Sweet Art Gallery to see examples of Al's latest work and innovative paint skin technique brought over directly form the Coral Springs Museum of Art. Currently on display for 2018-.
