Kami was born and raised in Israel. After graduating from an agricultural college, he entered the Israeli Army. He became a Captain in the Army as well as an Instructor at the Officer School. Following his time spent in the military, he moved to Montreal, Canada and made a career as a Beauty Salon owner and hair colorist for 18 years. He then had the opportunity to share his talent in Washington, D.C.. All the while, after having been painting with Acrylic, he fell in love with the medium of watercolor. This was a great time to combine what he saw as a stylist. He expressed in his paintings the secret beauty in a woman's expressions, happiness, joy, sadness, loss, enlightenment, love, and her secrets.

In November, 2007 Kami won the Naples Art Association Award of Excellence in Watercolor Painting a juried art exhibition. He has also been successful in selling his work on the East and West Coasts of Florida. Each day he has a passion to capture images of people on paper.
