SHARON ERBE
When not painting the outrageously flamboyant Caribbean dancers or color splashed
market scenes, Sharon can be found on the high desert mesas contemplating the
gorgeous New Mexico sunsets. Home for this artist is Naples, Florida and Taos,
New Mexico.
“What intrigues me,” says Sharon, “ Is capturing the essence of culturally diverse,
ethnic people as a metaphor for the indomitable human spirit.”
A bold approach to color, coupled with a loose, spontaneous style, gives Sharon’s
art a sensuality and vibrancy that commands attention and also reflects her lifetime
love of music and dance.
Sharon Erbe’s paintings hang in private collections throughout the United States
and Europe and in the permanent collection of the prestigious Von Liebig Center
in Naples, Florida. She shows in Naples at the Sweet Art Gallery and in Taos at
the Art Divas Gallery and she holds memberships in the Naples Art Association,
Pen Women of America, Taos Artist Organization and United Art Council. Sharon’s
paintings were recently selected and are now hanging in the 2008 Naples Designer
Show House, benefiting the Naples Art Association and the Naples Players.
